Te real purpose of the H1-B program is to enrich American companies at the expense of the American worker. This became crystal clear by the pending lawsuits by the Programmers Guild against almost 400 companies.

These body shops are the modern day equivalent of Asian sweat-shops right here in the good old U.S. of A. When the IT industry says that increases in H1-B quotas are necessary to fill job vacancies they really mean that increases in H1-B quotas are desirable to fill job vacancies at the depressed wage rate they prefer to pay. Meanwhile, how is it going paying off that college debt?
